Since the original construction of La Crosse Regional Airport’s (LSE) passenger terminal more than 25 years ago, many industry and passenger services have changed, impacting passenger and baggage processing through the terminal. Mead & Hunt worked with the airport to completely rethink the use of the existing space and performed a full renovation of the terminal. Terminal improvements include a redefined Secure Identification Display Area (SIDA) line, larger secured hold room, new secured restrooms, updated passenger boarding bridges, a new secured side restaurant/gift shop with access to the non-secured side, and modernized building systems. The terminal is now able to satisfactorily manage new requirements for passenger screening, the implementation of TSA, airline fleet changes, and an increase in passenger enplanements.
