The Mead & Hunt team completed Palm Springs International Airport’s (PSP) Comprehensive Master Plan, delivering a 20-year aviation activity forecast approved by the Los Angeles Airport District Office (LA ADO), a comprehensive development and implementation plan to support PSP’s long-term growth, and an updated Airport Layout Plan (ALP).
The Master Plan recommendations included updated airfield geometry to meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards and identified terminal, parking, and rental car expansions to support future demand. Our team developed space requirements and, in coordination with stakeholders and airport staff, identified preferred facility locations to support long-term growth.
Additionally, our team is collaborating with airport staff, local agencies, and the local community to prepare the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documentation for the recommended projects identified in the Comprehensive Master Plan to identify and mitigate any foreseen environmental impacts. The CEQA documentation includes technical studies addressing air quality, biological resources, cultural resources, greenhouse gas emissions, noise, hazardous materials, wildfire, energy, and other environmental factors relevant to the proposed improvements.
