Sustainability On-Call Consulting Services

The City of Phoenix wanted to achieve significant sustainability goals. Mead & Hunt is the prime consultant on the team to provide sustainability initiatives for the City of Phoenix. The contract was awarded to provide multiple services, including USGBC LEED staff training, resource use benchmarking inventories and reduction planning, and mechanical and electrical energy conservation and planning. Through the on-call services contract, Mead & Hunt prepared a solid waste management plan for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). The plan will help the airport exceed its long-term goal of over 40% waste diversion. As a result of these sustainability initiatives, 28% of the waste generated by tenants and passengers at Phoenix Sky Harbor is recycled.
