We are happy to welcome Tim Reder as our new Food & Beverage National Market Leader. Tim’s career has spanned logistics, packaging, automation, and process optimization, giving him more than 20 years of hands-on experience across nearly every area of a production facility. He has spent many years on the manufacturing side, giving him firsthand insight into what manufacturers need from their engineering partners.
In his new role, Tim leads national market strategy for our Food & Beverage Group. He brings a holistic understanding of how manufacturing operations run and where they can be improved.
“Tim knows what it takes to solve a manufacturer’s toughest challenges. He excels at turning a first conversation into a lasting relationship,” says Jeff Janis, Food & Beverage Group Leader. “He understands every aspect of a production facility. That perspective allows him to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, and he has the EPC project delivery experience to take those improvements from concept through construction. We’re thrilled to have him join our team.”
Tim is well known for helping clients work through complex challenges by drawing on his knowledge from manufacturing logistics and the food and beverage industry. When a manufacturer brings him a problem, he studies the issue from multiple angles. A conversation that starts with one bottleneck can become a roadmap for improving a system’s productivity and profitability. Whether the goal is optimizing a facility’s throughput, solving a hygiene challenge, or designing systems built for speed and continuous improvement, Tim provides a systems-level perspective focused on real ROI.
What drew Tim to Mead & Hunt is the firm’s legacy and where we’re headed. “Food and beverage manufacturing is a fast-moving industry, changing all the time. Consumer demands shift, product lines evolve, and manufacturers have to keep up,” he says. “I’ve spent my career helping companies keep pace with change, and now I get to do that backed by a firm with 126 years of engineering excellence. I’m excited to grow our food and beverage practice to keep providing great service to existing clients and expand into new service offerings.”
Beyond client work, Tim is passionate about developing the people around him. He invests in mentorship, walking junior engineers through the full production process and helping them connect with clients.
Please join us in welcoming Tim to Mead & Hunt.
