As the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Chair-Elect for the 2024-2025 term, John Rathke was recently interviewed on the Engineering Influence podcast.
In the episode, John shares his journey through the ranks of ACEC, from getting involved with committees at the state level through ACEC-Wisconsin to taking on national leadership roles. He emphasizes the importance of continuity in carrying forward initiatives and having a focused vision on strengthening the business environment for engineering firms.
John aims to position ACEC as a thought leader that policymakers and agencies turn to first on industry issues, and we’re excited to support him in this impactful role.
“The whole idea is to strengthen the engineering industry, both from a business standpoint and in the value of what we do,” John says. “You can’t look out a window of any office building; you can’t stand in the middle of a street in any large city and not see what we do as engineers.”
