Built in 1986, the Truax Field Squadron Operations Building had become generally deficient, with ineffective HVAC systems and inadequate female restrooms. This project completely renovated the building and provided additions to accommodate new mission requirements for a simulator training space and new commander office areas. Work included providing improved facility spaces to optimize productivity; meeting mission secure requirements; providing ADA accessibility and equitable male/female facilities; and upgrading interior finishes, exterior windows, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology systems. The project also improved the interior environment through selection of new base standard finishes.
