The 129th Rescue Wing needed to secure the Air National Guard cantonment area within the Moffett Federal Airfield. Our military engineers worked with the Air Force and Department of Defense to design and construct the necessary physical separation to meet anti-terrorism / force protection standards.
A significant challenge came in the form of a sudden decrease in available funding after the project start. We overcame the challenge by adapting our approach. We incorporated the highest priority elements possible within the new funding constraints into a new design. As a result, the project was successfully completed within the original time frame and the reduced funding level.
