This sustainable energy producer needed assistance upgrading its landfill renewable natural gas (RNG) facility. The RNG compression system enables the RNG to be placed in the gas distribution system and liquefied to replace diesel fuel for fleets of long-haul trucks. Our team provided fabrication services for this facility, which is one of the largest in Indiana. We performed process, structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering for the refrigerated dryer skid and fabricated it prior to shipping to the site. The upgraded compressor station enables 4,000 SCFM of raw biogas to be converted to 2,000 SCFM of pipeline-ready RNG. That equates to 7.8 billion gallons of RNG/year used to fuel vehicle fleets in the Midwest.
