A private landfill needed assistance installing a system that processes and purifies landfill gas into renewable natural gas (RNG). With an at-risk general construction contract with the client for construction services, Mead & Hunt installed process and electrical components including off-loading, rigging, and setting of equipment, valves, and instrumentation. In addition to a complete landfill gas upgrading system—featuring pressure swing absorption and a membrane system—we built a new 13,000-square-foot masonry process building and a 2,700-square-foot control building, both with fully adhered thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) membrane roofs to achieve cost savings.
