The New Mexico Air National Guard didn’t have enough space in their existing facility to accommodate a newly assigned target intelligence mission. Mead & Hunt converted an existing storage warehouse to a LEED Silver certified target intelligence facility that included a 12,000-SF Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). The SCIF contains stand-alone HVAC systems, low-profile raised floors, and acoustic separation to enhance effectiveness for the mission. The project included Antiterrorism/Force-Protection compliance upgrades, new energy-efficient mechanical and electrical systems, a photovoltaic array, and demountable partitions in the administrative areas to provide future flexibility.
