We are happy to announce that Meifa Chen, Ph.D., PE has joined Mead & Hunt as a Water Resources Practice Leader. Meifa brings nearly 30 years of exceptional technical knowledge and extensive project management and business development experience to the firm’s water/wastewater practice. He will be based out of our Port Orange, Florida office.
Meifa has a proven track record of delivering successful water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and water resources projects. He specializes in master planning, hydraulic modeling, surge analysis, hydrology and hydraulics, pipeline design, storage and pumping facility design, permitting, and construction oversight. Having served as technical leader for numerous projects with consulting fees ranging from several thousand dollars to $50 million, Meifa has consistently added value to clients.
Mead & Hunt is committed to expanding its water/wastewater services when and where it makes sense. The growing population in the southern U.S. and the impact of climate change have increased the need for water and wastewater infrastructure. Meifa’s addition to the team will help the firm meet these demands and grow its footprint in the Florida water market and beyond. With his strong technical skills and business development experience, Meifa will play a critical role in facilitating the expansion of the firm’s water and wastewater practice.
