Have you ever wondered, “What do engineers actually do? How does the work they do impact me?” To celebrate Engineers Week, we wanted to share how our work impacts people’s lives and how it makes our world better. To accomplish this, this week we shared two animations exploring different engineering processes that we provide to clients.
The first animation explored the complex process of designing a runway. Runways are a critical component of modern aviation, providing the necessary infrastructure for aircraft to take off and land safely. But designing a runway is no easy task. Engineers must take into account a wide variety of factors, from the layout and drainage system to the lighting and striping. The animation showcases the various steps involved in designing a runway, from the initial planning stages to the final construction phase.
Our next animation explored biodigesters, which make organic waste into renewable energy. Biodigesters reduce greenhouse gas emissions and create a sustainable source of energy, making them a powerful tool in the fight against climate change. Our team has helped dairy farmers turn their cows’ waste into electricity, renewable natural gas, and even vehicle fuel!
From designing runways to creating renewable energy solutions, and so much more, the impact of engineering is felt in every corner of our lives. We’re so happy we were able to educate people this week; stay tuned for more blogs about the work engineers do to make the world a better place!
