This manufacturing facility, which produces a variety of ingredients for syrups, sauces, condiments, fillings, and toppings, needed a replacement wastewater treatment system to more efficiently and cost-effectively treat its wastewater. We provided EPC services for the replacement process and building, featuring a custom-fabricated anaerobic membrane bioreactor (AnMBR) system that handles more than 20,000 lbs/day chemical oxygen demand (COD).
Our in-house fabrication provided skid design and fabrication for all major process systems, including an ultrafiltration (UF) membrane, a feed pump, a recirculation pump, a membrane clean-in-place (CIP) system, a chemical feed system, and boiler skids and permeate tank. The design, fabrication, and seamless installation of these components reduced construction costs and risk while improving quality control through pre-shipment product verification and testing. The prefabricated components were installed on-site, contributing to the system’s compact footprint. The treatment system provides 32% more capacity, which allowed the facility to see operational savings of more than $500,000 annually.
