Mead & Hunt was selected as Salt Lake City International Airport’s air service development consultant in February 2021. Since then, Mead & Hunt has conducted on-site community/stakeholder meetings, assisted with numerous airline meetings at industry conferences and airline headquarters meetings, and provided multiple international route forecasts as well as monthly Demand Analyzer reports using GPS location-based data. The GPS data initiatives were expanded to track international market recovery. Mead & Hunt has also performed a detailed review and provided recommendations for the Salt Lake City Department of Airports Air Service Development Strategic Plan and Air Service Incentive Program.
The implementation of this plan has resulted in numerous domestic air service wins, but more importantly international success in Latin America, Europe, and SLC’s top target—Asia. Delta Air Lines’ addition of nonstop service to Seoul, South Korea, launched in June 2025.
