Jacksonville ANGB Vehicle Maintenance Facility

Jacksonville Air National Guard Base commissioned Mead & Hunt to rehabilitate the vehicle maintenance shop in Building 1007. The facility accommodates three vehicle maintenance bays, a tire shop, machine room, shop office classroom, tools and parts room, battery room and offices. The project included replacing interior finishes and interior/exterior doors and windows; repairing the exterior wall surface and paint; installing a vehicle exhaust system and new fire suppression system; and upgrading the existing fire detection system, as well as all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, and HVAC. Mead & Hunt also reconfigured the office workspace and upgraded restrooms to meet ADA requirements and designed a replacement of the central system to improve system efficiency.
