The Fort Worth District needed to combine two fire companies into one facility to maintain readiness while controlling costs. As the designer-of-record for the design-build contract, our architects and engineers provided services in all disciplines throughout construction. By skillfully balancing each fire company’s interests, we resolved the conflicts raised by each company’s unique needs as they occurred.
The client wanted the facility to have a traditional exterior due to its prominent location. Brick veneer achieved the right look within budget limits. The Fire Fighter’s Memorial is deeply valued by all in the community, so landscaping design centered on the memorial, which also occupies a prominent location on the site. Our efforts helped the district maintain the schedule and stay within budget in a complex, sustainable project.
