After Indianapolis International Airport’s (IND) first-ever international flight route to Paris was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our team worked closely with Indianapolis Airport Authority staff to reestablish trans-Atlantic air service. Our strategic air service development initiatives included detailed market leakage analyses, carrier-specific route forecasts, airline incentive agreements, and stakeholder engagement. These efforts quantified a strong demand from Indiana’s life sciences, ag-tech, and advanced manufacturing sectors, reinforcing IND as a priority market for global carriers.
Our multi-year collaboration recently culminated in the return of trans-Atlantic service to IND with the launch of Aer Lingus nonstop service to Dublin, Ireland. This route reestablishes a critical link between Indiana businesses and global markets, providing seamless connections to over 20 destinations including London, Paris, and Amsterdam. Due to continued high demand, service is expanding to five weekly frequencies, hitting growth milestones ahead of expectations.
