To meet growing demands and help with the Blue Springs Recovery Strategy, Volusia County is developing new groundwater supplies outside the Blue Springs springshed. Mead & Hunt conducted a siting evaluation and prepared the Consumptive Use Permit (CUP) application for the Deep Creek/Leffler Wellfield. Under this assignment, we designed two new aquifer performance test wells (APT) that were converted to production wells, two exploration/observation monitoring wells, and two production zone monitoring wells. We also prepared well construction and testing specifications and provided bid- and construction-phase services during well construction, including geophysical logging, water quality sampling, drawdown analysis, yield determination, and data analysis.
