Five areas in central California have a combined population of 4,500 residents who depend on the Calaveras Public Utility District (CPUD) to supply them with good quality potable water. To make sure this continues, CPUD enlisted the expertise of our water treatment engineering team to study the plant’s aging infrastructure. Our engineers analyzed the water treatment facility, which is a direct filtration plant, and recommended improvements.
The evaluation started with a site visit to determine the existing condition of the plant and treatment processes. Our team also interviewed operations staff and reviewed existing documentation before compiling findings in a report that CPUD will use to make financial decisions and plan improvements. As a result of our efforts, CPUD has several viable options for making key improvements that will increase reliability of the treatment process and optimize operations.
