Like many municipalities, Hastings wants its water and wastewater treatment to remain efficient, thorough and safe for the community. The city streamlines their process by enlisting our expertise in contract operations and project management. We assist the city with routine tasks, including critical monitoring, reporting and inspections for their water and wastewater treatment plants.
The Director of Public Services relies on our assistance with compliance, staff management, scheduling duties, monitoring and reviewing process performance, implementing changes to bring the facility in–line with current standards, and best management practices and safety protocols.
To remain in compliance, we provide an open and honest relationship with regulators, and maintain the necessary records to control quality and meet state and federal drinking water requirements. These records include data for operations, sampling, and sample monitoring. A significant responsibility is identifying concentrations of chemical, physical or biological characteristics of water that we record in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines. To complete the documentation, we prepare and sign required regulatory reports for the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
