We are thrilled to announce that Kevin Spitz, PE, CM has been named to Airport Business Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 for 2024!
Kevin has been instrumental in the growth of Mead & Hunt’s Chicago market. His project leadership and contributions have been invaluable on numerous major projects for airports of all sizes, from planning all the way through construction closeout. He is passionate about improving and furthering the aviation industry, taking an active role in Mead & Hunt’s growth initiatives, as well as working closely with organizations like ACC, ASCE, and ACEC Illinois. Since 2020, Kevin has been an active member of the ACC Advocacy Committee, serving as Young Professional Chair in 2020 and 2021, Vice Chair in 2022, and Chair in 2023.
Kevin’s ongoing stewardship of future engineers and his desire to further the industry and make entry more accessible is evident. He is an original founder of the E-Squared program, a state-wide speakers bureau that connects teachers and schools to practicing engineers. He has led this initiative since its inception in June 2023. Additionally, he helped reinstate the aviation curriculum at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Kevin was an active participant of the University of Illinois Civil Engineering Department’s mentorship program for several years before becoming an adjunct lecturer for the school’s Airport Design course.
