Damon Smith was recently appointed to the 2022 Executive Committee of the Airport Consultants Council (ACC) Board of Directors. ACC focuses on the business interests of firms with airport-related technical expertise, working to inform members of new trends while promoting fair competition and procurement practices that protect the interests of the aviation industry. In his new role, Damon will provide support to further ACC’s strategic vision to deliver excellence in airport development.
As a Vice President for Mead & Hunt’s Aviation Group, Damon leverages 25 years of experience to support a wide range of airport clients. Through informed decision-making and stakeholder partnership, Damon has consistently planned, designed, and implemented improvements at airports nationwide.
He has been involved in ACC for two decades, chairing technical and event committees, as he works to uphold the high ethical standards and ambitious goals of the organization. These goals include providing networking and information exchange opportunities for a diversified membership; acting as the quintessential organization on airport development issues, and advancing international engagement and collaboration.
