The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater campus wanted to develop a new residence hall designed to promote success for all students. Our architects studied the six existing residence halls. Using feedback from existing students, our team created design solutions to accommodate a practical student housing facility. Our sustainable designs adapted the existing building into a residence hall that suited students with a range of needs and disabilities.
The design houses 40 more beds than originally planned, helping reduce an acute shortage of on-campus housing. This innovative design solution increases housing beyond early planning and campus revenue, allowing for a much shorter bond life than anticipated.
