UW-Stout’s Bowman Hall, a listed property on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), required extensive structural repairs. Among other items, this project repairs and restores more than 30,000 square feet of masonry envelope, while also replacing failing windows and doorways with historic replicas. In addition, Mead & Hunt provided extensive structural repairs at the signature 163-foot-tall clock tower.
To guide the work, we created a Historic Structures Report (HSR), Conditions Assessment, and Preservation Plan in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Through our ongoing construction administration services and field observation, we have maintained a high standard-of-care for Bowman Hall’s historic building restoration.
