US 35 is a heavily traveled, regionally significant corridor in southwestern West Virginia. The West Virginia Division of Highways needed to complete the final 14.6-mile expressway section of the US 35 corridor to increase the safety of the traveling public, improve access to existing industry and provide economic development opportunities to the region.
Mead & Hunt is providing project supervision and inspection services for this $66 million four-lane expressway and grade-separated interchange project. We are overseeing the inspection, materials testing and sampling work, while working closely with the area engineer to get the contractor’s estimate paid quickly and correctly.
