The Towns of Indian Trail and Stallings requested traffic relief for their main streets to build more pedestrian-friendly areas in their downtown areas. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) decided to build a new corridor road to take the pressure off each town’s main street. Mead & Hunt provided utility coordination, project management, environmental document preparation (State EA/FONSI) and preliminary roadway design, including development of alternatives and cost estimates. Additionally, Mead & Hunt will prepare right-of-way plans as well as the final roadway and structure plans.
