Tri-Cities Airport (TRI) is marking a new era of low-cost, nonstop connectivity for the region by successfully launching Breeze Airways. The Mead & Hunt team provided integral air service development support by conducting high-resolution demand studies and assisting in the procurement of a Minimum Revenue Guarantee (MRG). A landmark public-private partnership led by the BRIDGE Economic Partnership made this initiative possible, uniting local governments and private businesses to prove that the Tri-Cities market was ready for a new brand of “Seriously Nice” service.
TRI launched nonstop service to two highly requested destinations: Orlando and Washington Dulles International Airports. These routes, operating twice weekly, provide local travelers with affordable, point-to-point options for easier access to Florida and Washington, D.C. By bypassing major hubs and offering a premium regional experience, Breeze is significantly reducing travel times and costs for area travelers, further cementing TRI’s role as a vital economic engine for the region.
