The client needed to upgrade their existing dairy facility to meet the growing needs of their consumers. Our team designed a new skim milk dryer tower, powder packaging and warehouse addition to allow for an increase in throughput. An increase in demand for our client’s milk powder-based products like baby formula are expected to drive milk intake from five million pounds per day to 8.5 million pounds per day.
Our team faced a number of challenges during this project, including working around concurrent construction and allowing the plant to continue production. Additionally, this project had multiple fast-moving phases. The first phase included a small processes space addition. The second phase required utility revisions in existing building space, and the third phase saw the major addition of the dryer and warehouse. Our team thrived under these conditions, producing one of the largest skim milk driers in the U.S. for our client.
