Bel Brands USA, was facing a big challenge. US Production of their Mini Babybel cheese was only meeting 50 percent of US demand. We fast-tracked building engineering design for the new 170,000-square-foot greenfield facility. Unique plant features include four separate chilled water systems to accommodate the different temperatures required for coolers, processes and HVAC. Plant automation, equipment, and efficiency make it a flagship facility. By applying our expertise in utility system design and our understanding of the LEED certification criteria, our design supported our client’s Corporate Social Responsibility development goals.
