When our dairy client expanded to a small Midwestern community, they wanted our help to renovate an automotive parts manufacturing plant into a milk processing facility. Our design team retrofitted the existing facility by adding about 46,000 square feet of usable space to contain milk receiving, wet process, evaporator and dryer to meet their production needs.
We also designed renovations of another 125,000 square feet of the existing facility into product storage. Our team reused the existing on-site central utility plant systems to service the new process loads.
This new dairy facility created 70 new jobs in the community. The renovation and expansion plan won state employment tax credits valued at $1.5 million. The new facility is helping our client and the community to thrive by expanding job opportunities and economic development.
