SCDOT needed to ease congestion, improve safety, allow interstate commerce to flow smoothly, and increase the lifespan of the upstate transportation network in Greenville, SC. The I-85/I-385 interchange ranked #2 on the SCDOT priority list of deficient interchanges. Mead & Hunt provided concrete bridge design services for four high-skew bridges and railway overpasses. We met Critical Path design and schedule milestones set by the contractor. Our team used the design-build delivery method to reduce construction time, manage costs, reduce environmental impacts and shorten travel delays for motorists.
