Grafton School District required life safety systems improvements and a complete lighting replacement to provide new collaboration and performance spaces, and uplift the overall appearance of the spaces.
The project design helped reduce lighting energy consumptions by 40% while improving quality and controllability of the lighting in every renovated space. The team introduced tunable white lighting in special needs educational and sensory rooms, allowing teachers to tune color temperature to the needs and sensitivities of the occupants. These technology upgrades served to successfully bring the school into the 21st century.
Working with Hoffman Planning Design and Construction, Mead & Hunt provided electrical, lighting, fire alarm, plumbing, fire protection, technology, security, and A/V design for this project.
