National Mall & National Park Service Waste Management Plan

The National Mall needed a plan to assess and improve waste management and diversion. Mead & Hunt is leading this complex project involving coordination with multiple stakeholders. The final plan created under this project will guide the National Park Service (NPS) toward their required service levels and commitments to stewardship while maintaining strict waste handling regulatory and performance requirements. Mead & Hunt used a customized GIS application to inventory and geolocate all waste related infrastructure, including 360-degree photos, in an ArcGIS online application to help NPS manage waste assets.
