The DDOT needed a study completed to find out which downtown corridor to convert to protected bike facilities. Our planners led alternatives development, stakeholder outreach, conceptual design, transportation analysis and preliminary engineering. We studied all aspects of corridor design, operations and land use context to determine which corridor in Downtown DC could most easily retrofit to provide safe, continuous protected bike facilities to support the District’s multimodal mobility goals and strategic plans.
