The Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) wanted to integrate their mastering planning process with their overall commitment to sustainability. This was done through a sustainable master plan.
Our experienced aviation and environmental planners delivered a complete plan that took into account XNAs facility needs as well as their social, economic and environmental goals. During our team analysis and planning, we defined sustainability for the airport. We established baseline goals and metrics and found initiatives that the airport could implement to help meet these goals. And finally, we used the collected information to create a step-by-step implementation program and easy to use tools for the airport to use now and in the future.
Development occurring on and off the airport leads to constantly evolving conditions. Our work helped the airport to create a sustainable master plan that helped save the airport money, enhance their community partnerships, protect natural resources, and plan for their future facility needs in an evolving, balanced and truly sustainable way.
