Mead & Hunt has experienced incredible growth in the past few years—we have gone from 100 employees in two Wisconsin offices in 1995 to nearly 900 employees in 30+ offices nationwide today. This growth was largely supported by Information Technology advances. The fact that we have been able to maintain this significant growth while remaining profitable and preserving our culture comes down to our ability to innovate. Incorporating new technology to propel us forward has always been key. As new technologies emerge, we strive to stay on the forefront and use what makes sense for us.
Specifically, in the last few years we have used Deltek Vision and Central Consulting Group (CCG) to help us create a well-planned web of custom info centers and integrated data that quickly provides team members with the information they need to make critical decisions.
In addition to integrating Vision with EleVia and other software, we have used CCG consultants to help create a number of integrated custom info centers, processes, and reporting templates that have streamlined workflows and helped us make effective business decisions. In the finance area alone, project templates have accelerated onboarding companies we’ve acquired to our invoicing process.
This intricate web of data that we weaved around Vision through CCG has touched many facets of our company. From streamlining finance processes as we navigate an acquisition, keeping us connected through our in-house social media site as a nationwide firm, and helping us plan for future office needs as we transition back to the office after switching to almost 100% remote work at the beginning of 2020, our adoption of this technology has allowed us to thrive as a company—even in the face of significant and unpredictable changes this past year.
Ultimately, incorporating this technology has strengthened us as a company. It has allowed us to streamline processes throughout our firm when and where it makes sense, supported our explosive growth, helped us remain profitable, and allowed us to preserve our “one company” culture. We will continue to incorporate new technologies to allow us to thrive well into the future.
