We are happy to announce that Jeff Janis transitioned to Food & Beverage Group Leader in January 2023. He is taking the reins from Greg Marconnet, who is moving into an operations role that will allow him to support the firm’s recent acquisitions and continue to mentor Mead & Hunt staff.
Jeff’s 29-year-long career working on the client side of food manufacturing gives him a unique perspective on what it takes to successfully operate a food and beverage plant. He understands the food and beverage industry, including how to justify funding for critical projects, and is passionate about solving client problems, sometimes even alerting them to needs they were previously unaware of. He joined the Mead & Hunt Food & Beverage team in 2019, where he successfully leveraged this experience to provide comprehensive, holistic solutions to clients.
Today, Jeff is a highly qualified leader at the firm, ready to take the Food & Beverage group where it needs to go to continue to provide our clients with top-quality solutions. Greg says, “Jeff’s unique perspective shaped by his years working on the client side of the industry, combined with his dedication to our clients and our communities, makes me confident in his ability to successfully lead the group.”
Mead & Hunt CEO Andy Platz echoes this sentiment, stating, “Greg has done an exceptional job leading our firm’s Food & Beverage group; his years of dedication have helped the group diversify and expand. I am certain Jeff will be just as successful as he leads the group into the future.”
Mead & Hunt’s Food & Beverage group has met and exceeded many of its goals these past few years, growing significantly in both revenue and staff. Jeff will continue this trajectory as the group deepens and diversifies its expertise. According to Jeff, “Understanding the problems our clients face is key to creating the best possible solutions. I am excited about the team we have and services we can provide our clients.” Jeff continues, “I learned the principle of doing the right thing early on in my career, and it has served me well—this is something that will continue to guide the group moving forward.”
We look forward to seeing where the group is headed under Jeff’s leadership. Though markets and leaders may shift, the Food & Beverage group will continue to provide quality solutions that will serve our clients for generations to come.
