We are excited to announce that Cindy Cramer, PE has joined Mead & Hunt as a Transportation Safety Market Leader based out of our Charleston, West Virginia office. Spending the last 12 years of her career with the West Virginia Department of Transportation (WVDOT) as the Director of Traffic Engineering, she brings over 31 years of DOT experience in highway safety, traffic engineering, ITS, and consultant services procurement. Her vast experience in traffic engineering related planning, program management, design, and operations make her an invaluable addition to our national transportation team.

Throughout her career with the WVDOT, Cindy led the Department in strategic safety planning, as well as analysis and preliminary design to support the implementation of safety programs with the ultimate goal of saving lives and reducing injures associated with highway crashes. She is extremely knowledgeable in highway safety program management, transportation planning, work zone safety, traffic operations and safety studies, and incident management. She brings a wide range of DOT experience in signing and marking design, technical product and services procurement, traffic engineering policy and procedures, preliminary site investigation, ITS, regulation of outdoor advertising and salvage yards, as well as public involvement activities.

During her years with the WVDOT, Cindy realized the need for expertise in the highway safety arena.
