Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming how airports approach security operations, offering new opportunities to enhance situational awareness, improve operational efficiency, and support decision-making. To give airport operators greater clarity into this evolving landscape, the National Safe Skies Alliance (Safe Skies) has published AI in Airport Security (PARAS 0064), a new industry resource.
The report explores how artificial intelligence can enhance airport security operations and provides a framework for airports considering AI adoption. Covering potential applications, governance considerations, and emerging challenges, the report helps airport leaders better understand the opportunities and risks associated with implementing AI technologies.
Mead & Hunt is proud to have led this research effort through the Program for Applied Research in Airport Security (PARAS), with Royce Holden serving as Principal Investigator and support from Stephanie Lane and Ben Pecheux.
