The new 71,000-sq.ft. Contra Costa County Administration Building features office space for a variety of county departments, a large assembly chamber, offices, conference rooms, workstations, and support space.
We provided energy consulting from the design-build competition phase through as-built energy modeling for the new 71,000-square-foot Contra Costa County Administration Building. Working closely with the design-build team, we evaluated and tracked progress towards the county’s net-zero energy goal. Our services included benchmarking, zero net energy consulting, multiple energy analysis iterations, LEED energy credit documentation, and as-built documentation. The project was designed to exceed the 2016 California Energy Code and include photovoltaic arrays to be net-zero energy.
