It’s that time of year again! Time for a million holiday parties, shopping trips searching for that perfect present, and attempting to squeeze in quality time with loved ones around the mad dash of the season. With so many things happening at once, it can be difficult to press pause on the whirlwind and take stock of what’s really important. But this time of year is exactly when we need the pause most.
We all know that what matters isn’t parties or gifts—it’s being grateful for all we have, enjoying quality time with friends and family, and helping those in need. Though we may know this, it’s still a challenge to put it into practice as we navigate the holiday hustle and bustle.
Many of my fellow Mead & Hunters have been doing just that as we’ve held office parties, fostered donations to multiple charities, and gotten involved giving our time and energy to many great organizations nationwide. Donating time or money is a great way to inject an element of service into the holiday season.
These activities reflect the people-first values we cultivate as a firm. Giving back is important all the time, not just around the holidays, but I think it’s pretty special to take advantage of the spirit of the season.
