Passenger Growth at Cherry Capital Airport

The Mead & Hunt team recognized the importance of air service to the Traverse City economy and worked with airport and community partners at Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) to attract and retain air service from new destinations that connect the region. 

Using traditional industry data alongside GPS-based data, Mead & Hunt analyzed the sources of travel demand, helping airlines understand the business case for new service from places such as Boston, Phoenix, Houston, and Washington, DC. The analysis captured the airlines’ inbound and outbound demand and demonstrated the market’s potential for expanded service. Allegiant then entered the market with service to Florida destinations.
