Mead & Hunt partnered with airport leadership and regional community stakeholders to design an incentive program to attract new airline capacity to Shreveport Regional Airport (SHV). Leveraging extensive market data, our team identified key opportunities to stimulate passenger demand while drawing on the region’s inventory of 10,000 hotel rooms.
Building on these insights, Mead & Hunt developed a data-driven business case and actively marketed the route opportunity directly to carrier network planners. These efforts helped position SHV for major wins for the airport and the local community. Allegiant Air subsequently launched nonstop service between Shreveport Regional Airport and Nashville International Airport. Following this momentum, United Airlines inaugurated daily nonstop service to Chicago O’Hare International Airport not long after.
The airport has continued to build on this momentum. SHV has achieved its highest annual passenger count in 45 years, while sustaining four consecutive years of double-digit passenger growth.
