Mead & Hunt was selected by the Oklahoma City Airport Trust to provide services for terminal, landside, and airside planning as part of two successive contracts: 1) a terminal area master plan which evaluated the long-term needs of the passenger terminal complex; and 2) on-call planning for the system of airports (including OKC Will Rogers International Airport (OKC), Wiley Post Airport (PWA), and Clarence E. Page Airport (RCE)). The terminal area master plan evaluated the needs of OKC associated with accommodating 20 million annual passengers. The effort resulted in the identification of a recommended phased development plan that would expand facilities to meet the demand, including replacement of the elevated terminal roadway proposed parking facilities and an expanded terminal head house and concourse.
Mead & Hunt is assisting the Trust with further planning in the form of terminal programming and cost estimating to enable implementation of this multibillion-dollar program and for funding to be secured.
