Molson Coors Beverage Company needed to install a new, large-scale dry hopping system capable of handling an increase in volume for new and future products. This system needed to service four 5,000-barrel fermenters and be fully automated to reduce operator labor. With new products fast-tracked for the market, our team used the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) delivery method for the project. The project included modification of 24 800-barrel fermenters and installation of a hop conveyance system to enable temporary production of the new variety. Concurrently, we expedited the full-scale system, advising on the best fermenter technology and providers. Once selected, we determined system layout and designed and constructed a new building to fit the process equipment, as well as procuring and installing all equipment. Implementing this system, Molson Coors quickly and cost-effectively optimized production.
