Energy developer REV LNG, LLC needed a turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm to deliver six concurrent projects to convert 1,550 SCFM of raw biogas from cow manure into renewable natural gas (RNG) for pipeline injection. Symbiont, now a Mead & Hunt company, partnered with REV for streamlined delivery. We provided EPC services and collective site management for these six manure-to-RNG anaerobic digester systems. Through strategic oversight and coordinated efforts, we delivered a comprehensive suite of facilities that contribute to REV’s overarching objectives and also yield tangible environmental benefits.
Our EPC team designed piping and electrical systems, fabricated equipment, integrated Owner-supplied equipment, selected equipment for truck loading systems and flare, managed construction activities at each site, and coordinated commissioning and start-up. These systems convert 935,000 gallons of waste per day created by 24,000 dairy cows into 1,550 SCFM of raw biogas, which is treated to pipeline-quality standards. The nearest pipelines are up to 400 miles away, so the RNG is compressed at on-site truck/tube trailer loading stations and a total of 985 SCFM of RNG is transferred via virtual pipeline to natural gas pipeline injection points.
