Coastal Carolina University was experiencing rapid campus growth and wanted to expand its campus infrastructure. For the Fire Tower Parking Lot project, a 650-space student satellite lot, our civil engineers provided project coordination, master planning, stormwater management, site design, wetland delineation, permitting and construction administration.
We completed stormwater analysis, surveying, and the design of bicycle and pedestrian pathways. Our team adapted to the challenge of implementing special provisions for conservation design that were in place because the lot is located in a special overlay district. We incorporated a stringent tree survey, landscape buffers, and bus shelters to meet the requirements of both our client and the overlay district.
