Sonya Simon, JD

Sonya Simon leads Mead & Hunt’s Legal and Human Resources departments as an executive advisor for these teams. Sonya oversees contract negotiations and helps uphold Mead & Hunt’s values in our work with clients and partners. Her expertise guides contract negotiation, dispute/litigation management and resolution, business insurance, as well as environmental, construction, employment, and general business law. Previously certified as a hazardous materials manager and environmental auditor, she understands a wide variety of safety regulations.

Sonya believes that performing work through an inclusive lens gives opportunities for each team member to feel valued and do their best. As HR Lead, she provides guidance to the HR directors in talent acquisition, employee retention, and employee engagement.

Outside of work, Sonya participates in All-In Milwaukee, a coalition of education partners helping limited-income, high-potential students graduate college. She enjoys spending time at the lake with family, training her pup Enzo to truffle-hunt, bird watching, and stargazing.
