Probabilistic Flood Analysis Made More Efficient with Automated Modeling Tools
Monday, May 19, 5:45 p.m. | Jesse Piotrowski
Jesse Piotrowski, Water Resources Engineering, will be presenting on how engineers and scientists developed automated tools for 2D and combined 1D/2D models to ensure effective model outcomes and eliminate questions about modeling processes. He will discuss a project case study in which engineers built tools to improve computational efficiences for a probabilistic hydraulic analysis of a 150-square-mile area near a flood risk management dam using VBA and Python.
The 2025 World Environmental & Water Resources Congress will gather approximately 800 leading engineers and scientists from around the world to discuss current research, case studies, and “best practices” in water resources and the environment.
