GI Benefits at the Meter
Presented by Monica Vincent
Monica Vincent will present on the benefits of green infrastructure (GI) using sewer flow meters, highlighting a case study from Peoria, IL, where distributed infiltration-based GI has been implemented to reduce stormwater inflows and meet combined sewer overflow (CSO) reduction targets. The presentation will discuss the challenges of observing GI benefits due to variable factors like seasonal infiltration rates and maintenance impacts, and how data collection from sewer flow meters and GI level monitoring has provided valuable insights into the effectiveness of GI, ensuring compliance and future project planning.
